Applicants must also show how the training will enhance their effectiveness in one or more of the following areas:

  • Advocacy and Public Representation:
    Improving Muslim representation in public life, combating Islamophobia, and contributing positively to civil society
  • Community Development:
    Raising standards, expectations, and social development within British Muslim communities

Who Is Not Eligible?

You are not eligible if you:

  • Are studying at a university other than the University of Sussex
  • Are progressing into the final year of an integrated Master’s degree at Sussex
  • Are enrolled in an online or distance-learning program
  • Already receive another University of Sussex scholarship (e.g., Chancellor’s Masters Award)
