- Minimize risks at all stages of the food production process
- Train employees/workers on tasks, safety measures, and company policies
- Recommend hiring and promotion decisions
- Prepare production reports and other documentation
- Recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
- Supervise, coordinate, and plan (and possibly review) workers’ activities
- Request or order materials, equipment, and supplies
